about

This is Worker speaking—Hello! After four years off the road, the Firesign Theatre wrote a new show for their 1974 tour (which included a sold-out appearance at Carnegie Hall) in which Robots' Rules of Order exist to be broken. Melding four hit LPs into a two-act play, "Anytown USA" brings Peorgie, Ralph, Babe, and Nick together in the form of a company of smooth-skinned robots, dogged by some fool kids playing on the deserted Funway of the Firesign World theme park. This package presents Firesign's full performance from the Westbury Music Fair, plus a bevy of extras including radio interviews and the second act of their Berkeley show (which you may have spotted in record bins in the 1970s as the Wizardo bootleg LP "Firesign World"!). Plus a 96-page PDF including the full show script and over 200 never-before-published photos, contemporary newspaper articles, posters, handbills and more!
